The Busses of the Limfjord

Every visit to the Limfjord Land must include at least one trip with one of the small Limfjord ferries.

The busses of the Limfjord – that is what the little ferries ploughing the seas of the Limfjord are called. Many of them link the mainland and the many small cosy islands of the Limfjord. The trips with the Limfjord ferries last between 2 and 20 minutes. The shortest route is between Kleppen near Struer and Venø, and the longest is the trip from Rønbjerg Harbour to Livø.
The little ferries are a quick, pleasant, and eventful means of transportation, and if you combine the ferries you will get a memorable experience – all the way around the Fjord. With the exception of the Livø ferry they all carry cars – but of course also bicycles. For the cyclists the Limfjord Land, with its ever changing and hilly landscape along the many coves and bays, is an unsurpassed holiday paradise.
