In order to participate in this Limfjord Tale, you must put on waders and bring a fishing net, a bucket, and a water glass with you. These are necessary if you want to experience the fjord and see what hides beneath the surface of the water.

A Safari on the Limfjord is a superb way to discover the Limfjord – and both children and adults from 10-100 years of age will find great joy in participating.
Wearing your waders, you will be accompanied by the nature guide from the Limfjord Centre Doverodde. Together you will venture out in the fjord with a fishing net, a bucket, and a water glass, and if you have not tried it before it is a really great and straight-forward experience.

For it is not every day that you have an opportunity to dive below that surface of the fjord and see what secrets are hidden there.
You will have to wait and see what you catch in your fishing net, but a good guess would be shrimp, fish, snails, mussels, water fleas, beach fleas, crayfish, and crabs. Typically, there will be approx. 25 different creatures in the net, which you can study and discuss with the nature guide.
The nature guide will also be able to tell you about which species are increasing in numbers, which species are threatened, and which species are endangered in the fjord. Some species have been in the fjord for thousands of years, whereas others have recently migrated into the fjord. The nature guide will also bring an aquarium along, which is also worth a closer look.
