The Golden Limfjord

People have lived in the Limfjord Land for thousands of years. The first humans were the people of the Stone Age, who left their enormous kitchen middens and their fantastic passage graves as evidence of their existence, and later the Vikings lived here.  The tales about the history of the Limfjord cover a wide field, but they all give you an insight in life as it unfolded centuries ago - in the monasteries, castles and manors and in the countryside villages and merchant towns. In the Limfjord museums you can learn more about the history of the Limfjord Land and about the authors and painters who lived here.

But the "Golden Limfjord" also includes tales about the crafts and industries of the area and about the many delicious products from the Limfjord area that find their way to dinner tables all over Europe.
