Thisted Brewery has brewed beer since 1899 – and today it is one of the few breweries in Denmark, which is still locally owned. The brewery has its own assortment and furthermore it is the only brewery in Denmark, which brews several ecological types of beer.

Limfjord Tale no. 23 Glenholm Vingård
Glenholm Vingård at Løgstør is probably the world’s northernmost vineyard which is run as a commercial family business. On this Limfjord tale, it is possible to
visit the vineyard, get some good advice about wine making, and learn more
about how it is to be a North Jutland wine grower.

Limfjord Tale no. 24 Nedergaard - organic ice cream and farm shop
Nedergaard is an old family owned farm near the bird sanctuary Vejlerne, and today it is the 4th generation that runs the organic farm with approx. 200 black-and-white dairy cows. Milk and cream from the cows are made into ice cream,
and you can choose among ice cream, sorbets and low fat ice cream which are Italien-inspired as far as regards taste and consistency. The Limfjord Tale takes you on a guided tour of Nedergaard which has been an organic farm since 1997. Thursdays at 2 p.m., approx. 1 hour.
How was life in a small fishing hamlet? How were the fish prepared? These are some of the questions, which will be answered during this Limfjord Tale in Vorupør Museum in Thy. We will also hear about the religious revivals and
their significance – and you get to taste dried fish and obtain the recipe of
good local schnapps.

The history of Landting Manor goes 800 years back in time. Apart from a tale about the history of the manor you will get an opportunity to taste some of the locally produced delicacies, for example the fish and shellfish of the Limfjord
and the ecological duck specialities, which are produced here. This is accompanied by wine, also produced at the manor.

Limfjord Tale no. 24 - Thise Dairy, a village dairy with success
This dairy was originally built in 1887, but 101 years later an ecological
dairy was founded in the very same buildings. Seven farmers had a dream of creating their own ecological dairy, and the dream came true: today 87
farmers deliver their milk to the dairy, and the many products of the dairy can be bought all over Denmark. Considerable investments have been made, but
the basic ideas are still the same: a free and independent dairy based upon ecology, sustainability and solidarity.
